Employment History

I am currently employed by NBC10 Philadelphia (WCAU-TV) / Telemundo62 (WWSI-TV) as a digital operations center technician. My responsibilities include establishing all inbound microwave, satellite, and IP transmissions, ingesting local programming & station promos into our playout servers, and master control operations. Master control operation duties include weather & breaking news cut-ins, school closing & weather crawls, and acting as the master control operator for specialty live broadcasts.

One of my unique duties is to operate and maintain StormRanger10, NBC10's mobile Doppler radar truck. This vehicle provides a 100-mile range X-band dual-polarization radar sweep.

We also have the ability to go live from the truck via one of its three built-in cameras or via an external camera, all which can be routed to the built-in LiveU & Dejero units. Video and data is transmitted via bonded cellular or via its Intelsat satellite internet system.

Previously, I was employed by MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), now BAMTech, as a broadcast engineer. I worked in the transmission operations center (TOC), handling all partner events & linear streams. My responsibilities included provisioning, routing, and monitoring multiple A/V feeds to and from our facility, as well as analyzing and rectifying technical faults with our inbound or outbound A/V feeds.

Prior to that, I interned in the Engineering department at SportsNet New York (SNY) where I was responsible for the daily engineering needs for repairs, upgrades, and expansion. I was also involved with wiring and installing newly purchased production and post-production equipment, and routing inbound & outbound signals to & from our broadcast facility.

Television & Film Production

Video and film production is another strong suit of mine. I have held numerous freelance jobs as a camera operator and video editor. I have also worked on many independent television and film projects.

I held numerous positions on the executive board including staff engineer, technical manager, and programming director. As staff engineer & technical manager, I was responsible for daily engineering needs for repairs, upgrades, and expansion, as well as training students on our Panasonic ENG cameras and our NewTek TriCaster 455 portable studio system.
